@Sensanaty: And this only happens if this mod is in? It could be that they changed the resource between 1.54 and 1.55. You could try creating your own No Mosaic specifically for your patch level with the No Effects Mod maker tool: This allows you to remove other effects as well. It could also be that your issues (specifically the speech bubble one) are unrelated to the mod. I believe I've seen this/heard about it in cases where this mod wasn't used, so it could be a general bug.

OK, after so many different troubles with package files not functioning I uninstalled ALL the games including the base game, I have been reading your tutorials step by step at this point I have 3 package files in there right now the no intro, the no sparkles and the no intro maxis. I have updated to the 1.01 version and I would like to add the no mosaic in next. What I am wondering is when I begin installing each expac stuff pac will I have to change the version of this mod as well? I also have questions about other specific mods(script core?) and when I should place them in and in what order, but for now this one is the most irritating. If I can get this one working, then I will come back for the others as to when and how I add them in and in what order Thanx in advance!

@Opalisis: I'm assuming the no intro one works, i.e. You don't have the long intro video when you start the game? If so, then adding the no mosaic for your correct patch level (right now 1.57) should work. And yes, since EA adds new effects to expansion packs (and sometimes even in patches), you should check if a new version for a patch is necessary. If you won't update your mod, e.g.

Remaining at the No Mosaic for 1.57 after installing Into The Future, all new effects in the game will be missing, because the modded resource overrides the one in the game and the 1.57 version of No Mosaic doesn't include the ITF effects. I hope this makes sense. @Opalisis: Modders can name packages/sims3packs themselves, so if you don't keep track of what a file means, you'll have to look into the package/sims3pack to see what it was. I have used the before and now it does not work plz help:help. Is there a way to make this work for the sims 3 installed through Origin? There seems to be no mod folder even when i applied the mod framework showing up.

I'm running the 1.63 update with the latest expansion being Pets. EDIT: Never mind. Got it working. It seems i had to manually make the folder 'Mods' inside the My Documents/Electronic Arts/TheSims3 root directory and extract the framework in that directory and it went automatically from there.
